Genetic conflicts during meiosis shape the rapid evolution of essential chromatin proteins

Par Harmit Malik, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, Seattle, Etats-Unis

Harmit Malik is an evolutionary geneticist who has dedicated his career to studying the evolutionary arms races that lead to the diversification of our genomes. His major contributions concern the evolution of chromosomes in response to genetic conflicts (e.g. the paradox of rapid centromere evolution), as well as the consequences of the adaptation of our genomes to pathogens on human health.
