HomeNewsDuoday: a day of enriching exchanges

As part of the Duoday programme, in which a person with a disability pairs up for a day with a volunteer professional, iGReD welcomed Léa (M1 student), under the aegis of INSERM, who shared the day-to-day life of Corinne (Inserm IR).

A day of sharing “… with no taboos about her disability. We learnt from each other”, says Corinne, and that reinforced Léa’s wishes for the future: “I was able to meet and talk to different people involved in research. It reinforced my idea of becoming a researcher in the future and doing a thesis”.

It was also an instructive day on the road still to be travelled to accommodate our colleagues with disabilities “… it enabled me to project myself into my future role and to anticipate the job adjustments I’ll need (material or human)”, Léa points out.
