Heidi, a CNRS research fellow in the RECLAB team, is the 2023 winner of an ERC strating Grant, prestigious and competitive funding awarded by the European Research Council.

Her MeioPoly project, ‘Understanding the genetics of hybrid species’, aims to elucidate the evolutionary processes that enable these species to stabilise and succeed, through the production and analysis of synthetic hybrids in the laboratory. In particular, it will enable us to understand the mechanisms that enable the production of viable gametes, and thus ensure their fertility.
