Research
Since joining the CNRS, I have been interested in the maintenance mechanisms of telomeres in dividing cells, always in collaboration with Michel Charbonneau. My main model is the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Between 2016 and 2022 I also participated in experiments on tumours, mainly gliomas.
In our favorite model, S. cerevisiae, we are constantly investigating the functions of the telomeric complex CST, a complex that we have greatly contributed to identifying and characterizing over the past 25 years. After clarifying the roles of this complex at the telomeric level, we identified other roles of CST: in transcription during DNA replication, then in mechanisms regulating cytokinesis.
